From 1988 until 2011, Dieter Sadowski was the economic director at the Institute for Labour Law and Industrial Relations in the European Union. His research interests covered a broad spectrum, from personnel and labor market economics to the economic analysis of labor law and the relationship between companies and civil society.

Dr. Alberto Palermo

Alberto Palermo was a research associate (post-doc) at the Institute for Labor Law and Industrial Relations in the European Union (IAAEU) at the University of Trier from 2018 to 2023. Since September 2023, he has been a Lecturer at the University of Roehampton in London.

Dr. Nora Paulus

Nora Paulus was a research associate (post-doc) at the Institute for Labor Law and Industrial Relations in the European Union (IAAEU) at the University of Trier from 2020 to 2022. Since 2023 she is post-doctoral researcher at the University of Luxembourg (Chair for Sustainable Finance).

Dr. Konstantin Homolka

From 2016 to 2021, Konstantin Homolka was a research associate at the Institute for Labour Law and Industrial Relations in the European Union (IAAEU) at Trier University. In his doctorate with the title "Experimental Investigations on Teamwork, Fundraising and Privacy Concerns" he dealt with various questions of personnel and behavioral economics.

Dr. Gabriel Schultze-Romahn

From 2015 to 2021, Gabriel Schultze-Romahn was a research associate at the Institute for Labour Law and Industrial Relations in the European Union (IAAEU) and Trier University. He successfully completed his doctorate with the thesis "Essays on the Economics of Education and Industrial Relations".

Prof. Dr. Marco de Pinto

From 2012 until 2019, Marco de Pinto was a research associate at the Institute for Labour Law and Industrial Relations in the European Union (IAAEU). He has been a professor at the University of Applied Labour Studies since November 2020.

Prof. Dr. Adrian Chadi

From 2012 until 2017, Adrian Chadi was a research associate at the Institute for Labour Law and Industrial Relations in the European Union (IAAEU) and Trier University. In the winter semester 2017/2018, he was appointed junior professor for personnel economics and human resources at the University of Constance.

Dr. Olga Lorenz

From 2013 to 2017, Olga Lorenz was a research associate at the Institute for Labour Law and Industrial Relations in the European Union (IAAEU) at Trier University. She obtained her doctorate on the relationship between occupational mobility and health under the title "Long road to ruin? Essays examining the effects of commuting on health and well-being."

Prof. Dr. Sabrina Jeworrek

From October 2012 until September 2016, Sabrina Jeworrek was a research associate at the Institute for Labour Law and Industrial Relations in the European Union at Trier University. She successfully completed her doctorate with a thesis on "The Behavioral Impact of Non-Monetary Workplace Characteristics: Laboratory and Field Experimental Evidence". Furthermore she researches in the department "Structural Change and Productivity" at the Leibniz-Institute for Economic Research Halle.

Dr. Andreas Jung

From March 2016 until August 2016, Andreas Jung was a research associate at the Institute for Labour Law and Industrial Relations in the European Union. From October 2016 until March 2017, Mr. Jung is employed under DFG-funded research fellowship at the Mathematics Institute of the University of Seville. Further information can be found here.

From May 2015 until November 2015, Christoph Tasto was a research associate at the Institute for Labour Law and Industrial Relations in the European Union.

Prof. Dr. Mario Mechtel

From January 2012 until May 2015, Mario Mechtel was a research associate at the Institute for Labour Law and Industrial Relations in the European Union. From June 2015 to November 2018 he was Junior Professor of Economics, especially Microeconomics, at Leuphana University Lüneburg, where he was appointed Professor of Empirical Microeconomics in November 2018.

From July 2008 until February 2015, Vanessa Mertins was a research associate at the Institute for Labour Law and Industrial Relations in the European Union. In 2015, Vanessa Mertins was appointed to the Chair of Business Administration, particularly the management of social services at the University of Vechta.

Prof. Dr. Daniel Arnold

From January 2012 until February 2015, Daniel Arnold was a research associate at the Institute for Labour Law and Industrial Relations in the European Union. The title of his doctoral thesis was "On the economics of sickness absence and presenteeism". As of June 2022, Daniel Arnold is a professor of economics, with a focus on labor market economics, at the University of the Federal Employment Agency (Campus Mannheim).

Dr. Wolfgang Hoffeld

From March 2008 until December 2013, Wolfgang Hoffeld was a research associate at the Institute for Labour Law and Industrial Relations in the European Union. He successfully completed his doctorate in 2013 with a thesis on "Minimum Wage and X-Efficiency".
